JKBOSE Assures Timely Announcement of Class 10th and 12th Results

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has reassured students and parents that the results for the annual Class 10th and 12th examinations will be announced on time, adhering strictly to the set regulations and academic calendar. This statement comes amidst a wave of rumors circulating on social media about premature result dates.

As per Greater Kashmir report, a top official from JKBOSE, who chose to remain anonymous, clarified that the external practical exams in some areas are still ongoing. Consequently, it is premature to set a specific date for the announcement of the results. “The time has not yet arrived to announce any particular date for the announcement of the class 10th and 12th results. Once the process does not get completed, we cannot announce any particular day or date for it,” the official stated.

The official emphasized that practical exams for vocational subjects are still in progress, and advised students not to panic over unconfirmed information being shared online. “There is no hurry in the declaration of the results. Our focus is that once the result gets declared, it must be appropriate and error-free,” he added.

The theory examinations for Class 10th students in hard zones began on April 4, while Class 12th exams started on April 8. In soft zone areas, the exams commenced earlier, on March 11 for Class 10th and March 6 for Class 12th.

JKBOSE is committed to releasing the results simultaneously across all regions of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT), following a well-defined academic calendar. According to official figures, around 137,418 students—77,916 from Jammu and 59,502 from Kashmir—have registered for the Class 10th exams, with 818 examination centers set up in various schools. For Class 12th, approximately 105,949 students registered, including 96,460 from soft zones and 9,489 from hard zones.

“As per our regulations, the result should be declared within 40 to 45 days after the culmination of the exam. The exams are not over yet,” the official reiterated.

The board aims to ensure that the results are accurate and error-free, preventing any potential issues for students post-declaration. For students needing early results for admissions through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), JKBOSE provides confidential results after completing the necessary formalities.
